Gastronomy co branding spreads as eateries share space
In Gastonia the Schlotzsky's restaurant adds Cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon, joining Focus Brands co branding strategy amid a slow economy. The plan includes remodeling costs facing owners the Lins and Liu family while nearby stores Circuit City former RJ Gators Harbor Freight Tools and Office Depot may also share space. The trend aims to boost efficiency and offer expanded offerings through two brands in one building. Greg Regian notes the approach has proven successful and may grow as retailers seek cost saving collaborations.
