City to resurface busy New Hope Franklin intersection
Six crashes have occurred at the New Hope Road and Franklin Boulevard intersection as drivers in left turn lanes stop to yield. City official Lowe warns drivers misinterpret help as risk, noting the area is the second busiest. Construction starts in August for 30 to 45 days with intermittent lane closures. The city funds the median and will be reimbursed $50,000 by the state DOT. Contact Elizabeth Hess at 704 869 1826.
