Gastonia reunion brings Ed Wolff and his wartime partner Truman Martin together for the first time since they dodged Gestapo in Nazi occupied Europe. Stowe Botanical Garden with 23 residents and police and fire protection provided by the town’s only taxpayer. The plan aims to curb nearby dense development after concerns raised by a Longwood Gardens case and would rely on a new zoning ordinance to shield the garden on Lake Wylie.
