Greek American cook author blends tradition with twist

Liz Lazarides White, daughter of Greek immigrants, self published a cookbook "Opa" featuring simplified spanakopita with cottage cheese and a Greek salad with artichokes carrots and radishes. Her baklava uses pecans and a syrup with orange juice cinnamon vanilla and marmalade, reflecting a personal fusion cooking style.
