Dallas man killed in Gastonia animal hospital crash
A Dallas man, 28 year old Jonathan Wilson, died when his Jeep Grand Cherokee slammed into Eastridge Animal Hospital in Gastonia early Thursday around 12 15 a m. He reportedly lost control while speeding from Aberdeen Boulevard onto East Franklin Boulevard, striking the building. Four dogs and one cat were unharmed. the hospital suffered damage including a destroyed lab and bathroom and about 20000 in medicine. The hospital plans to reopen Monday after emergency care.

Fisherman dies in boating accident on South Fork River
North Carolina Wildlife identified 60 year old Willie Junior Perry of Charlotte as the man who died after falling from his boat near Arm strong Road Bridge around 9 15 a m Wednesday. Emergency responders searched for nearly three hours before sonar located his body. An autopsy will determine the cause of death, with investigators treating it as a boating accident until proven otherwise.
