Man accused of burying roommate appears in court
Kenneth Richard Johnson, 55, faces charges after being linked to the missing 50 year old Sammie Bruce Davis. Authorities say Johnson failed to report Davis's death, buried the body in their backyard on Church Street in Lowell, and used Davis's debit card to withdraw funds. Davis was reported missing Oct 1, 2020. Johnson extradited from Ocala, Florida, to Gaston County. Police located Davis's remains after a backyard dig prompted by a tip and a search warrant at the residence.
