Habitat for Humanity in Gastonia has expanded to three satellite chapters Belmont Bessemer City and Cherryville and helped start a program in Lincoln County where the first house has been built. Kings Mountain in Cleveland County also has a chapter. Formed in 1988 the Gastonia group has grown with volunteers noting the community spirit and cooperation.
