Del Webb breaks ground on South Fork Senior Community
Arizona based Del Webb a Pulte Homes brand breaks ground on the South Fork Senior Community near Belmont. Phase one adds about 223 lots within a planned 462 acre project housing 809 homes with a fitness center pickleball courts and a 30 acre retail area. Traffic improvements and two river monitors funded by Del Webb address concerns from residents and environmental groups.

A Gastonia non profit group will start offering technology classes for Gaston County seniors starting in January. Shawnya Gore of The Links Incorporated Piedmont Chapter notes seniors face online truth issues and online navigation challenges. The program echoes older adults tech services from AARP as seniors learn to use the internet and avoid scams.
