Sparrow Fired Over Student Sex Allegations at Cherryville High
Summer Sparrow, a 41 year old former Cherryville High School English teacher, was dismissed by Gaston County Schools after being charged with sexual activity with a student. Investigators say the 17 year old student met Sparrow via Snap chat, and that the alleged encounters occurred at Sparrow residence. Police seized teaching certificate, devices, and records during the probe.
