Lincoln County police warn on truck littering and fines
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office reminds drivers to secure cargo as items blown from vehicles become litter. Fines range from 250 to 1000 dollars. Litter types include bags, lids, containers and yard debris. The North Carolina DOT runs Swat-A-Litterbug to report offenses. DOT will notify offenders after complaints.
