911 Ride To Work Ends In Jail For Lipscomb
A Gastonia man 22 called 911 to request a ride to work and was booked into Gaston County Jail on misuse of the 911 line and a probation violation after irate language. He was on probation for an assault and battery conviction from May 2015. Bond set at $21,000. A separate case reports a 45-year-old man beaten with a steel pipe by two suspects in a parking lot, later transported to hospital. Holy Angels teams up for the Angel Bowl at Liberty Lanes on March 5 to raise funds for services for people with disabilities.

Films to shoot in North Carolina receive state funds
Three production companies will shoot projects in North Carolina with support from the North Carolina Film and Entertainment Grant program.
