Corrupt cops headed to federal pen

Former Gaston law officers Frankie Dellinger Wesley Clayton Golden and Mark Ray Hoyle were sentenced in federal court for extortion and conspiracy in a 2012 FBI sting. Dellinger received three years in prison two years probation and a 400 dollar fine. Golden 20 months in prison one year probation and 200 dollar fine. Hoyle 21 months in prison two years probation and 300 dollar fine. Credit for time served applies.

Curtailed Spring Break Threatens Gaston Schools Plan

Snowstorms forced Gaston County Schools to cancel classes and reshuffle make-up days with three days landing during spring break.
