Kings Mountain man charged with 2015 employer thefts
Brian Keith Gibson 48 faces three larceny by employee counts and one embezzlement charge for stealing from two employers between November and December 2015. Arrested in Gastonia on Lincoln and Mecklenburg charges, he allegedly used a Southern Concrete Materials credit card for about 1700 in gas and stole a 9 mm pistol from Guard One Protective Services in Matthews before being booked into Gaston County Jail.

A line of thunderstorms moved through Gaston County bringing strong wind and less rain than expected. Gusts up to 55 mph felled trees and knocked out power, prompting 25 tree calls and 27 power line reports. One tree damaged a home and two cars, and a Lowell store roof was blown off.
