Duke Energy to hold Belmont water information session
Duke Energy will host the first of two Water Information Session meetings for Belmont well owners about plans to install permanent water supplies. Officials from Duke, water treatment suppliers, and the city will answer questions at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Belmont from 4 to 7 p.m. Residents near coal ash basins may be offered alternate permanent supplies. About 271 residents received letters.
