Tuition aid program draws little interest at Gaston private schools
Gaston County leaders at Gaston Day School and Gaston Christian School say parents show little interest in North Carolina opportunity scholarships worth up to 4200 dollars. Applications open until February 25 with a lottery selecting 2400 names for next school year. Eligible families must have a public school student this semester and qualify for free or reduced lunch.

Investigators say Rob in son and Tavis Campbell 19, with Parker, tried to rob two people on JP Stevens Road. Rob in son allegedly threatened a victim and fired. Parker was struck in the back and died.
