Gaston County Commission plans next Tuesday to vote on a resolution to display In God We Trust on the courthouse front. Supporters cite heritage and patriotism while opponents, including Freedom From Religion Foundation, call it unconstitutional and a state church separation issue. McLean project set for 800 lakefront homes at Lake Wylie

Work begins on a 670 acre housing community named McLean fronting Lake Wylie, extending to Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden area in Belmont.
