$3.5 Million Township Grants Progress in Gaston County

Dallas man shot die on 25th birthday in drive by
Kennedy, a North Gaston High School alum and local truck driver, died at CaroMont Regional Medical Center after a drive by shooting in Dallas. The 25 year old was in his car around 7 15 pm Friday when shots rang out at South Davis Street and East Carpenter Street. Police from Dallas and Gaston County investigated the scene as they searched for a suspect in a red car. Dallas Police confirmed the death but did not name Kennedy or any suspects. He leaves a girlfriend and a 2 year old son. Family members said Kennedy had returned to school for a commercial driver's license and was a hard worker who provided for his son. No one has been charged with homicide to date. Call Dallas Police with information.
