Father shoots son in chest amid confrontation near park
Ralph George Wilson, 78, told 911 he acted when his son Ralph Gregory Wilson, 52, threatened to burn their home near Crowders Mountain State Park. Police say the younger man poured lighter fluid and rubbing alcohol around the house before approaching his father. he was treated for non life threatening injuries. No charges filed yet as detectives pass the case to the District Attorney for a decision. The family resides on Freedom Mill Road just outside the park.
