EPA proposes $460 million targeted dredging of Hudson PCB sites
The EPA will recommend removing 2.65 million pounds of PCB contaminated sediment from a 40 mile Hudson River stretch north of Albany. If approved, dredging could start as early as 2003 and take five years, with sediments sent to landfills outside the valley. Public comment will precede a June final decision.
