Community mourns Gaston Board member Connie Gibbons
Connie Gibbons 52 a Gaston County School Board member since 1988 died at home after a four month battle with pancreatic cancer. Known as Constance Carlberg Gibbons she was named Gaston County Woman of the Year in 1991 for work with the Girl Scouts and League of Women Voters. Friends recall her tireless service and involvement in many areas.
