Neighbors Save Lincoln County Home From Fire

Heating lamp cause fires in Gaston County home loss
A Monday morning blaze on Edgewater Drive in Gaston County destroyed a two story home with total loss and killed three dogs and all newborn chicks. Fire officials say the attic heat lamp for a brood of baby chickens likely started the fire, marking a fifth lamp related incident in the county this year. The home was unoccupied, and one first floor room survived. Deputy Fire Marshal Allen Middleton called it an accident.
