Woman struck and killed on I-85 near Cox Road
A 28 year old Gastonia woman Tamesha Beam was found dead on an I-85 on ramp near Cox Road after leaving a night out with her sister and a friend. Investigators say Beam stepped onto the ramp and was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled without description. Autopsy planned to determine injuries. Police seek information.
