Belmont locals start free community garden project
Belmont residents launched The Giving Garden a free standing nonprofit growing potatoes tomatoes spinach herbs berries and flowers for anyone to pick or take home. Local volunteers led by Cynthia Hegler and Jena Hare converted an unused 310 Todd St plot into a neighborhood garden to share produce and community spirit as spring planting wrapped up.

Gastonia youths honored by city council
