Local minor charged in crime spree in Gaston County
A 15 year old boy is jailed in Gaston County accused of robbery and involvement in a spree that left Ronald Glenn Gullette Jr. dead in Charlotte. Three other teens ages 15 or 16 faced charges including murder or robbery with a weapon and accessory after the fact. Police say the robberies occurred early March 30 with three car jackings, a robbery and a fatal shooting in under eight hours.

How the crime began on Tryon Street spree in Charlotte
The spree started around 2:30 a.m. on North Tryon Street with two teens stealing a car and an armed teen forcing the driver out. By 9:57 a.m. Gullette was shot and killed, with police pursuing a gray truck and blue vehicle seen fleeing the scene as three suspects fled on foot.

Two 15 year olds among suspects in jogger murder case
Police detained two 15 year olds, a male charged with the murder and robberies and a female charged with resisting arrest before release. Loyd turned himself in, Hargrove was arrested two days later, and a fourth 15 year old male was identified and charged with stealing a Pontiac Vibe and robbing the jogger but not Gullette's murder. He is at Gaston Juvenile Detention Center.
