Cousins Die In Dirt Wall Collapse At Rural Site
Two children, seven year old James Caldwell and six year old Chloe Arwood, died when a dirt wall collapsed on a 20 by 24 foot pit where they were retrieving a toy near Cedarbrook Court in Stanley. Arwood's father, Jordan Arwood, operated a backhoe nearby as the tragedy unfolded and investigators worked to determine how the wall failed. A 911 call came in just after 5 p.m. Sunday with witnesses reporting the burial of the two youngsters.
