Gastonia school plan to close and rebuild many facilities
A citizen task force recommends major changes to Gaston County schools including closing Arlington, Gastonia Central, and Highland High and Elementary schools, constructing a new $19 million high school in southern Gaston and an $8 million middle school in Cramerton, with 23 facilities to be renovated and Highland Junior High becoming central offices.
