Obituary Notice for Mrs. John Oliver

Mrs. John Oliver died at St. Marys hospital on December 22 after a months illness. The family home is Mentmore. She was brought to Gallup and placed in the hospital in an effort to save her life. A husband and a 3 year old child survive. Burial was held at Gallup on Wednesday with attendees from Mentmore and Gallup.

Fire damages John Schauer building on Third street

At about 7 o clock Sunday night fire broke out in the John Schauer building on Third street occupied by a music teacher and clothes cleaner. About 500 dollars damage with no insurance. Water hindrance caused delay. Fire company responded quickly and used a chemical lay out to extinguish the blaze.

Sacred Heart Wedding Ties City Printer to Gallup Bride

Augustin Garcia a master printer in Albuquerque and Sue Gonzales of Gallup united in marriage at the Sacred Heart church this morning. The bride taught in an Albuquerque rural school and will make Gallup their future home after celebratory events. Grandparents Mr and Mrs G Garcia of Gallup attended. Best wishes from the Herald.

Middleton weds Kilborn at Episcopal Rectory

Tuesday night at the Episcopal Rectory Clyde Middleton and Miss Helen Kilborn were united in matrimony the Rev. Cyril A. Boddington performing the ceremony. Middleton is from Ft Wingate and Helen Kilborn is the daughter of Mr and Mrs J Kilborn of Gallup. Best wishes go with them.
