Arizona state engineer Tom Maddock is expected to attend the Petrified Forest Road Meeting on April 12, with delegations from Winslow, Houck, Adamana and Gallup sending riders. Bisbee Arizona April 4 The robbery of the local post office last night yielded 560000 the largest loss in the Bailey era as postmaster for eight years. Two former assistant postmasters R A Clampitt and W W Henderson now serve federal prison terms for shortages of 6000 and 1500 respectively.
The Gallup Chamber of Commerce announces a Vigilance Campaign to begin Friday April 15 and continue as needed. A four party flying squadron will target every business and individual in Gallup not supporting the chamber. Leaders John Kirk L N Cary W W Porter and T Younis will direct. twenty volunteers join to reach full town participation.
