A Cromwell public tribute to the French Army band was postponed by rain. A War Bureau delegation and Cromwell Boy Scouts gave each musician cigarettes and a boutonniere of French roses from A. N. Pierson, Inc. The gifts, donated by patients of Cromwell Hall, drew thanks from the band as local residents watched the passing parade from Middletown to Hartford.
