Campaign drive outlined for Middletown district

A wartime drive meeting appointed Dr. William A. Shanklin as general chairman and Edward F. Slavin as general treasurer. Plans call for district committees in Middletown and Portland to raise about 50 000 dollars for the week of November 11 to 18, with seven organizations sharing protection of the total. A hospital canning program delays collections pending central town sites and tagged jars, while linen and cotton drives for French hospitals fall short of targets with remaining time to donate.
