The Swedish Bethel church marks 25 years with tonight's program led by Rev J M Henrickson of Cromwell and Rev G E Pihl. Last night featured Mrs Axel Fredenholm solos and choir selections. Dr Hazen recalled Swedish work in Middletown 30 years ago and praised church loyalty to God, country, and government. Rev C E Anderson spoke on eternal life and Rev A Fredenholm shared thoughts on the Triumph of the Christian Through the Lamb of God. Creighton creetings from former ministers were read later.

Children of Brainerd Ave Stage Red Cross Benefit
Youngsters in grade seven at the Brainerd avenue public school presented an exhibition and playlet titled Rose and Thorn to raise funds for the Red Cross. The entertainment included solos drills songs and a sham battle with unloaded air guns. A pretend casualty was carried to a hospital tent and treated with ice cream as nurses practiced. the mock operation was repeated by the lively audience.
