He praised Wilsons League of Peace platform and said the victory shows Americans favor supporting the president in pursuing an international covenant to prevent future wars.
Coroner Mix files a finding on the death of George E. Curtis and two other workers Michael Patton and Timothy O Sullivan from an explosion of primers moved into Winchester Arms Co storehouse last Saturday. The finding says the blast likely arose from the case being dropped causing friction that ignited one primer and spread to the rest. All handlers were killed and no further evidence could determine the cause.
The Farmers National Committee on Transportation and the Farmers National Council totaling about 750000 members urged Railway Director Hines to use all feasible means to address the railroad funding failure. They want measures ensuring continued public control and avoidance of private ownership.

Col Hilary A. Herbert secretary of the navy in Cleveland's second administration died suddenly in Tampa Florida in his 85th year. He had been in vigorous health and news of his death shocked relatives in Montgomery. Six grandsons of Col Herbert are serving with American forces in France.
New York on March 6 reports the Sub Treasury gained 387000 from banks on Wednesday, lifting the cash net gain since Friday to 1975000. The report details a rising liquidity position driven by bank transactions over the current week.

London reports that the first shipment of American fats will be distributed in Germany from Dantzig. Authorities say one million pounds have been accumulated there for distribution on condition that the port workers do not strike.
Springfield police arrested Stephen McCarthy and Louis Sorenson early today for stealing auto truck tires. Sorenson was shot by officers but sustained only minor injuries.
The Leviathan returned with 8830 officers and men of the 27th division, led by Major General John F. O'Brien, prompting a massive welcome in New York. Chicago detectives seek members of a Black Hand gang in the murder of Frank Gento who was shot five times as he left his home. Gento had recently lost his wife and had just collected $1,000 from an insurance company, money the assailants were believed to target.

Washington March 6 two hundred and four baby tanks fully equipped will be sent to every section of the country to stimulate interest in the victory loan drive likely to start the last week in April. The tanks will be distributed evenly across the 12 federal reserve districts. Each tank crew will have two operators and an orator. Indianapolis man Walter Cunningham is sought for the alleged murder of Mrs. H. Reptogel of Bristol and the attempted killing of her daughter after an objection to a planned marriage. Mrs. Reptogel and her daughter were shot. the daughter remains in serious condition.
