Allied forces press a continual counter offensive pushing into occupied territory. Reports indicate gains surpassing 200 square miles with over 15,000 prisoners captured as French and American units advance on multiple fronts. Strong coordination and sustained pressure mark the campaign's momentum.
The Franco American counter offensive across a 30 mile front from the Aisne to the Marne continues with rapid gains. Allies report hundreds of German prisoners and major ground recaptured as American, French and Italian forces push toward Soissons and Rheims. Cavalry back in action, tanks and aircraft supporting aggressive advances amid heavy fighting and German retreats.
Washington reports a major Allied success on the western front after a surprise American French assault between the Aisne and the Marne. German forces were overwhelmed, many prisoners captured, and much war materiel taken or repurposed by the attackers. The operation shifted momentum and buoyed Allied prospects as open warfare gains were achieved.
