Washington June 11. For the first time a great event is reported from an airplane by radiophone direct to United Press. William J. McEvoy described the Memphis cruiser bearing Col. Lindbergh up the Potomac from Bolling Field in a Ford tri motor, with help from C B Hempel. The voice was rebroadcast from College Park and carried to the United Press in Washington. The flight logged at 1 500 feet, circling above the Memphis to give a full view of army and navy air activity. The Ford liner, designed by William B Stout, carries twelve passengers and three Wright motors.
