Slain at Arroyo Seco Man Killed by Ranch Foreman
Samuel Allen an 18 year old employee at the Block ranch was shot and killed by Jim Taylor at Taylor's ranch on the Arroyo Seco about 50 miles west of Roawell. Taylor says Allen fired first. Taylor returned fire hitting Allen in the heart and causing instantaneous death. Crumb reported the killing to Sheriff Rector. Allen leaves five children. The shooting occurred in Lincoln County. Crumb will turn Taylor over to authorities in Carrizozo.

Cecil and Theron Scrivner present near Cap Rock toward Levinton for court activities.
