Chautauqua Attendance Notes and Local Updates

Local residents Mr and Mrs Rom Holt attend the chautauqua while Dr M E B Puckett and wife travel from Hope to join. Several locals visit Artesia and Roswell. Mrs D G Grantham recovers from tonsillitis. A large First Communion class is planned at the Catholic church next Sunday at 7 AM.

Mrs. Boyd, once a Carlabad schoolteacher and currently teaching in Arizona, arrived yesterday and will visit friends a few days. She awaits Miss Effie V. Hart, teaching in Roswell, and the two ladies plan to spend their summer vacation together.
