Red Cross Campaign Planned for Carlsbad District

Dr B B Depp of Carlsbad NM announces a nationwide Red Cross drive beginning in June with a one week campaign. W W Turney named campaign chair, several captains lead teams of three to four to canvass Carlsbad and vicinity. In Boulder Colorado a report notes the need for aid from America in the fight against tuberculosis in France. Doctor Livingstone Farrand, director of the commission, said Paris that a conservative estimate shows about 500000 cases in France. About 140000 soldiers have been discharged because of the disease.

Government orders release of Easter rebellion prisoners
