Russians plan strikes to pare lyimpar industry

London June 1 Reuters dispatch says strikes to paralyze production were decided upon in about 120 of Petrograd's largest factories, mostly war munition works, per Reuters telegraphs.

French Capture Over 31000 German Prisoners

On the French front in France the period April 15 to May 24 yielded 11820 German prisoners for the French, twenty eight thousand unwounded among them. British Grain Ship Losses Declared Low at Six Percent

London reports that Great Britain's losses in cereal ships are only six percent, based on a statement attributed to Kennedy Jones, director of food economy at the Ministry of Food, after allowances for higher loss. London news reports the American sailing ship Dirgo of three thousand tons was sunk by a German submarine after gunfire and bombs. The crew was landed at Plymouth. third mate John Ray drowned.
