Dr A Wright of Eunice made a Wednesday visit to Jal. Rev J P Evang preached here Saturday and Sunday. The Methodist Home Mission Society plans an ice cream and cake supper next Thursday for Red Cross support. A baby boy was born to Mr and Mrs 8 W Dobbs on Tuesday August 21. The little one and mother were reported doing well. J T Medlin brought his family from Stanton to Jal to settle here. D W Justis recovered from a brief illness. Jim Dublin and family and sister Mrs Houleson with two daughters visited Jal Saturday. S D Wimberly and J M Meggen son went to Pyote for Jal freight this week.
