Danville Celebration Honors World War I Veterans
Danville celebrated its returning soldiers from World War I with a large assembly of about 1000 people. The event honored Henry L. Danforth Walter Jordan Ludger Tougant and others, with seven wounded including George E. Gochie who is recovering from a spinal injury. A German prisoner and four living veterans in France or in the navy were noted. The program featured Marshfield band addresses by local clergy and officers, and all veterans were photographed with framed certificates signed by selectmen.
