Nineteen year old Miss Alice Stone, daughter of Sheffield residents, is held in Newport county jail after a newborn body was found at the Barton boarding house rear. The infant’s fate will be determined by Dr. B H Stone at Burlington. Stone refuses to name any suspects as authorities prepare a preliminary hearing next week.
