Driving Hare Prevents Accident on Eastern Avenue
Mrs Wilbur Fury acted quickly on Eastern avenue to curb a runaway wagon after Fred Gadapee of North Swnville struck a crossbar and the horse bolted toward the sidewalk. The sled was towed for repair and the incident prompted local safety attention. The town organized events include Health Crusade talks by Leon W Baxter at the Fairbanks Museum and a Story Hour next Saturday featuring Bird Stories. Navy Victory buttons are available at the Couch House recruiting office for discharged Navy or Naval Reserve personnel with papers, to be mailed to applicants. Local residents attended varied demonstrations and trips to Boston for events and shows, with several residents traveling to Wheelock Lyndonville East Burke and Lyndon for community activities this week.
