Banquet honors Vail Agricultural School students and friends

Man Killed by Freight Train At North Troy
Edwin Boynton aged 78 of Westfield was killed near Cherry Maple Susar House siding at North Troy when a double header freight struck his wagon as he waited with his team for the Orford Mountain Line mixed train. Deaf and unaware of the approaching train the horse bolted and the vehicle was crushed, causing a fractured skull and other injuries. he died two hours later. Born in Westfield in 1842, he was a farmer with relatives Lydia Brown and siblings Thomas and Wilbur. He had recently lived at W. C. Farman’s North Troy home.

Young Everett bank clerk takes own life in Glendale office
Miss Edna Merryman a 20 year old clerk at Everett Trust Co shot herself in the heart in the tellers office of a Glendale branch today. The revolver lay beside her as she died instantly. She had just returned yesterday from convalescence for appendicitis and fellow clerks say she seemed in good spirits.
