Funeral Held For Lon VanCleve's Child Lot tie
The six year old daughter of Lon VanCleve of Willard was laid to rest beside her mother in the cemetery southwest of town. She had been ill with measles, improved, then relapsed into spinal meningitis and died. Services at the grave were led by Elder Wasson of the Church of Christ.

Irrigated cabbage crop yields high profits near Estancia
A. W. Lentz’s cabbage field four miles southwest of Estancia produced well at harvest last autumn. Cabbages grown with well water and windmill irrigation, using two cylinders and a walking beam, allowed direct pumping. Heads were firm white and flavorful, storing well as local prices ranged from three cents and up.

Mrs McKinley Dies In Canton After Stroke
Mrs William McKinley widow of the late president died at her Canton Ohio home Sunday afternoon after a long period of invalidism. She rallied after her husband’s death but suffered a paralytic stroke and passed peacefully. Secretary Cortelyou and family attended. mourners gathered at the church for the memorial address as plans for the national mausoleum proceeded.
