Estancia baseball players defeated the McIntosh Browns of Albuquerque 8 to 7 after a week of pride and fan excitement in the valley. Tarr and Terry secured a lease for the park from Col. W. S. Hopewell as the team earns local support and boosts the community. Goldsmith and Canter gave cigars for a three-base hit while G H VanStone presented cash for the team’s effort.

Blue Grass in the Valley and a Sheep Shooting Incident
