Death of Estancia Pioneer Garnett in Chicago
Oldest Estancia resident Algernon H. Garnett died last Monday at his sister’s home in Chicago after a battle with consumption. He helped plat Alta Vista and Garnett Place, served as first justice of the peace, fought cattle thieves, and labored to build up the valley. Death of Arthur T. Atkinson in Nogales Arizona Obituary
Arthur T Atkinson died last Saturday at Nogales Arizona after a tuberculosis illness. He was a son of Mr and Mrs M B Atkinson of Estancia. He had moved to Arizona for climate relief but could not be moved home due to snow. His remains were to be interred at Nogales with plans to transfer to Estancia cemetery later. This is the second Atkinson son lost in the winter, drawing sympathy from valley residents.

After a quarter century in New Mexico, Mr and Mrs William Fraser, once of Albuquerque, return to Inverness Scotland to settle for life. Fraser started sheep farming with backing from a noted Albuquerque lender, repaid the loan and built a fortune including Albuquerque real estate, then moved home to enjoy his success with his wife.
