Frank H. Henwood was found guilty of murder in the second degree for the killing of George E. Copeland. The jury announced the verdict at 10:30 p m. The judge arrived later and will set the sentence range from ten years to life.
Dispatch from El Paso reports threats of widespread violence in Juarez if recalled officers are not kept in place on Saturday. Messaging to Francisco I. Madero Jr. and President De la Barra warns that the people will take up arms if officers are removed.
President Taft considers pulling federal troops from Texas where they have been stationed since the Mexican conflict. A final decision is expected tomorrow with reasons cited as improving conditions in Mexico and discomfort among troops in the south.

Mr and Mrs A V Goodin spent Wednesday night with their son Monte here and left yesterday morning for Roswell. They were en route home from Las Palomas hot springs.

Denver June 29 Judge John Campbell chief justice of Colorado Supreme Court collapsed from heat while attending a judges conference. He was admitted to St Luke's hospital and is in serious condition. His home is Colorado Springs and he has lived in the state for eighteen years.
