Death Result of Fall at Windmill Mill
Adolph J. Lents died Monday after a fall from a windmill tower. He suffered spinal injury causing paralysis and sleep ending in death at noon. Born Louisville November 25, 1874, he was 33. He married Miss Susa Magdalena in Magdalena, N M, six years earlier. surviving wife, a son, parents, and siblings mourn him.

Fourth of July Held Brightly in Estancia Valley
A thousand residents gathered in Estancia for a successful Fourth of July celebration. Speakers included Hon. A. T. Morrison of Santa Fe and Acasio Gillegos who spoke in Spanish about local heritage. Appointment Made for County Scholarship Recipient
The county commission last Monday appointed Acasio Eduardo Gallegos as the four year scholarship recipient under a new legislative act naming one youth per county. Gallegos, son of Dor Acasio Galleros of Torreon, is about seventeen with abilities in English and Spanish and has studied at Albuquerque Missionary School and Las Vegas High School.
