Death Relief After Diabetes and Injury At Estancia Homestead
Mr. Walker died at about 8 o clock this morning on his Estancia area homestead five miles northwest. He had suffered diabetes for twenty years and a lifelong leg injury left the ankle badly broken and largely severed from the limb. A planned amputation, delayed by fear of death, was finally performed as his condition worsened. He was about 65 and leaves a widow and son Ben who lives near his father on an adjoining claim.
