Daily New Mexican reports Estancia temperatures from 23 to 33 degrees with a trace of precipitation and a 66 to 73 percent humidity. The Santa Fe area describes cooler tonight and Tuesday with generally fair skies and winds, noting a high around 30 and a low near 23.
Dr Kaufman, resident in town from Belen, says most men on the Santry contact have moved to the east end. About two hundred workers are at the east end, with two steam shovels operating at the camp past the mountains. A large stone crushing plant near completion will grind ballast for the railroad through the canyon as work proceeds on the central division.
Automobiles planned to carry mail on the Roswell to Torrance route, over about 100 miles, were stuck in snow drifts last week. Manager Stockard remains undeterred as similar breakdowns have hit the Rock Island Moguls several times this month, and ore operations expect no more from the machines than from the cars in such conditions.

Sheriff Manuel S. Sanchez called to Santa Fe on court business before Judge A Mann. Jap Claris, held without bail for the Tor rance murder of James M. Chase, filed a writ of habeas corpus. Preliminary hearing set by Justice A H Garnett. adjourned to Monday due to absence of the prosecuting attorney.
Julius Meyer and Rafael Gomez of the Mounted Police recovered two horses stolen about a year ago on the Pecos and returning them to the rightful owners along the Rio Grande. The force uses patrols to secure bills of sale and protect properly held animals under law.
A. L. Jessup, special agent for the German American Insurance Co, was in the city Saturday on business with a high company representative, John W. Corbett. Corbett had property of the Santa Fe Central Company involved and was summoned by the station building at Progreso.
Word from Tullirosa says revival meetings led by Revistid airs and i. Ps Vone are underway and well attended. The service is described as engaging and the revival a success locally.
